Oh yeah....
Another one for Ann Marie. I really need me a calendar to keep up with all the different blogs I need to post things on. This make 3 for me off that list. I am still looking to see if I finished more or not. This time it was the red and white front that ended up being the back, because I made it into a COCA-COLA quilt for my best friend AMY! She is such a coke addict!!! Click HERE to check it out!

Woo Hoo Ann Marie has finished a PhD!!!!
Yes with 10 days left to go, I have finished a PhD, I would have started on a second one, but I didn't have enough really, really dark navy blue thread, and black was just two hairs too dark. So hopefully I will get some thread tomorrow, and maybe, just maybe get that one done too. But for now............here is my Santa table runner, FINISHED!

Ann Marie's PhD's for 2011
While taking pictures for this challenge that I said I would do 3 PhD's and try for 6, I realized I had more than 20!!! Good thing I already made my New Year's resolution to finish up all my UFO's, and clean out all my scraps. So I am committing myself to quite a few different commitments to help me stay focused, and do just that.
This first one here is Turtle Bay, to tell ya the truth, I haven't a clue when I made it. I remember the fabric but don't remember making the top. It was all folded together, backing fabric and the binding which is already cut and ready to go. I am going to quilt this one by machine myself as a starter project, figure it is busy enough no one will notice if I screw it up. My dream one day is to have a long arm, so I have to start someplace. This is the one!
Jethro and Elly Mae even help me do all my quilting. Some times the 4 crazy dogs do too!
This here is a Twisted Lone Star quilt that I started a few years ago, I have 32 big diamonds pieced like the 8 in this picture, just haven't been able to find a fabric I like for the background yet.
Can't decide if I want to go light or dark, and what color to make it........any suggestions????
This one here is my "camp quilt" I named it that because I made it especially for my travel trailer. I had a chance to go to a local quilt retreat for free in January 2010 ( wow a year ago already?) because another lady had to cancel out at the last minute. So I threw together some scraps that would work to make this very easy quilt. I finished this top, and half of "Moon Glow" at that quilt retreat. I haven't touched Moon Glow since, it is still half done. But I am not committing to having that one done before June. I am not that crazy!
Here is a scrap buster Roll Roll Cotton Boll! Which you can find here: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/p/roll-roll-cotton-boll.html
New clues published every Friday. Christmas Eve Clue #6 was published, haven't looked yet. But I do have clues 1,2,4 finished. 3 is started, 5 oh my.....It will get done though.
I am also doing a Layer Cake quilt along you can find here
http://moosequilts.blogspot.com/2010/09/layer-cake-quilt-along-2010.html
I will be close to having at least the top finished by the time the PhD's need to be done.
This is a Black White & Red BOM quilt I did around the same time as the above red white & blue ones. Needs one block pieced, then borders, quilted and binding. The funny thing about this is I have always wanted a black and white quilt with another color, boy was I surprised when I found this, because I forgot I did this one. I am still going to make another one using Turquoise as the 3rd color for my bedroom. As this one is only lap quilt size, and red won't match the bedroom.
I am a self taught quilter I started 16 years ago, and it took me 15 years to finish that first quilt........long story. But since then it is my passion. For the past two years life has gotten really crazy and I haven't hardly even seen my sewing room. But a few months ago I realized I needed to spend time in there again so I am almost done with clearing it all out (seems it turned into a storage room while I wasn't looking) and cleaning and reorganizing it. I already am feeling the creativity flowing again in my mind. Wow did I ever miss that. I think it all started when I found blog land in July and realized what I was missing, so I started my own blog as well. More as a log as to what I have done and when I have done it. You are welcome to come by and follow me along with all my crazy adventures I am trying to keep up with. You can find me at http://16muddyfeet.blogspot.com/ I can't wait to see how everyone else is doing with all their PhD's, there are some really great looking projects in the works out there and I know we all will do wonderfully. Gotta love deadlines to keep everything in check. Sew, see ya around the block, Ann Marie
