Last PhD

I am so thrilled to say that I finished my last PhD! With a day to spare no less. I really didn't think I would get this one done and it is a huge relief to have it finished - I started it 4½ years ago.

Sarting the Borders

I started working on the borders of the Bear's Paw quilt.

I used a stencil for the braid design. I find that I am just quilting to get it done (so don't look too closely at my stitching!). It will be the last quilt that I hand quilt.

First PhD Finished!!

I am so pleased to have finished one of my two PhD projects!!

Joanne's PhD's

Hi everyone! I am very excited to be part of this challenge - it is my first challenge! I am hoping to finish two quilts!

My first project is a large Bear's Paw quilt that I started in January 2007. All I have left is about half of the hand quilting! I can't really explain why I have never gotten around to finishing it. My only excuse is that I have no real use for it (although that doesn't usually stop me!).


My second project is a Pinwheel quilt that my youngest son - D, designed with EQ - using fabric that I was given.

D pieced together these pinwheels and then got tired of it - so I have decided that now would be a good time to finish making the quilt. Maybe D will help me?!
