All Finished

Yeah.....I had finished all four of my promised PhD projects and it feels so good to have them done. It is funny how one can burn out on a project and it gets placed on the back burner. Somehow that burner keeps getting further back as the weeks and months pass. So...thank you, Myra, for getting us to get those projects up front and finished.


My completed projects......
First is my D9P red and aqua swap from last year.  These were simply blocks and I assembled them, quilted it and put the binding on.





I started this next one about 2 years ago and finished all but the binding.  That one was easy to finish.



My pinwheel quilt was pieced from a swap last year, but needed quilting and binding.  Mary Flynn at Quilt Hollow did the longarm quilting for me.



Lastly, this was a modern signature block exchange that I needed to assemble the blocks into a quilt, quilt and bind.  This hangs in my sewing studio now.

PhD Commitment

Like many others, I have a stack of PhD (Projects Half Done) taking up vital space in my sewing studio. I decided that Myra's PhD Challenge would give me the nudge to tackle a few of them. It's the pressure, you know!!! I am in awe of so many talented participants and their amazing pieces they have done.

So....I opened the closet and took a look. Shocking!!! This is my rack of PhDs.

They range from needing piecing, needing quilting, needing binding, needing borders, needing backings and all steps in between. Then there are also the boxes of unfinished blocks. Yikes. It is scary at how easily I can move on to a more exciting project. Maybe it is ADHD.

These are the four projects that I am commiting to finishing between now and June. Perhaps this will force me to complete even more once I get going.
