Finish Number Two

At last a finish ...I called this one Cherries & Chocolate...it has made it's way over to the UK to my cousin who has just been told that her Ovarian cancer is back ..prognosis is not good... so I thought it would bring her some comfort & warmth...thinking this will be my last finish as I have had sholder probs & the only reason this one was finished was because I had it longarmed...but at least I have 2 quilts finished for this year !! Many thanks to Myra for hosting this ..

At Last

I finally managed to get one finish....
align="center">
Country Whig Rose by Kim Diehl

I originally planned to use this as a table topper but when it was finished I loved it so much it is going on the wall at the bottom of my bed so I get to see it every day ....

I hand appliqued it & also hand quilted it....

I kinda wish I had done another more ornate border..
but am happy with it & it is at least finished...

New Poster

Hi Everyone
thought it was about time I posted the pics of my 4 ufo's I want to finish in this challenge
My name is Claire blog name Quiltygal
I live in Australia in Adelaide & have been quilting for 23yrs...
I love applique & antique quilt patterns am a big fan of
Kansas Troubles fabric & Kim Diehl patterns
also big fan of Gail Pan,Melly & Me & Leanne Beasley

So first up is a star quilt made from my scrap basket
it's a lap quilt size...
Needs a border of some sort will probably machine quilt this
Second is a wall hanging which I started about 6 yrs ago

4 blocks are together I have 2 waiting for borders & then finish it all off

Third is a lap quilt made with my gorgeous

"More pink & chocolate" collection

how yummy is this

I think you could actually eat it if you tried...

it's waiting for it's chocolate brown border then I'll see if I want anything else on it

Fourth here are some 6 inch blocks that I have started with my Kansas troubles collection

have no idea what this will end up as but that's me

I tend to plan/design as I sew so who knows

although I am at this stage thinking an on pointe layout..

So this is my lot

Am looking forward to seeing everyones progress & visiting new blogs.
You are more than Welcome to visit me over at "Chez Quiltygal"

I'll even put the kettle on....
