It's just not in me

Well this blog is supposed to be for updates.
That is progress on a PhD.
Earlier I had asked to be withdrawn from the group.
Myra, such a gracious lady and encouraging one too, suggested I continue on as I had a few months to go.
It is time now to say thanks to Myra for all her work and how much I have enjoyed seeing all the great work and delightful colors and fabrics, but quilting is just not my skill. Yes I can do it, but I do not get any pleasure in struggling with the idea of finishing. So yes I guess I must call it giving up.
I would rather say just making a decision to face the facts I am not a quilter.
You may see on my blog I am into crocheting with recycled plastic shopping bags.
I have orders for these so must meet my commitments.
Thanks to all and good luck to all the PhD ers.
I will continue to follow as who knows, one day quilting may just click with me.

I hate to see you go.If there there are other obligations and quilting is not something you enjoy right now,ya must do what your heart says,, I started sewing and making quilts 22 yrs ago.. cutting by hand, sewing by hand... UGH I stopped for about 4 yrs then I decided to try again.it was easier with new rotary tools and having a sewing machine.. I will check out your crochet blog.Amy

Ahh, I'm sorry you are withdrawing but I can understand why. For me, it's the opposite. I haven't posted any finishes or even progress yet but this looming over me is keeping me incented to get through what I need to so I can post those. I felt so good about it last year when I did.

Although, I can say last year I felt more stressful about it until I had one under my belt. Maybe you can stay and just knock it down to having 1 done by June?

If not, onward and upward and maybe we will see you again next year. :)

Well, good luck, hope you make lots of goodies with the crotched plastic sounds like a very good way to recycle!

Well, since you've requested to drop out twice now, I will respect your wishes and not try to encourage you one more time... You know you better than anyone... 8-)

You get a big "A" in my book for attempting to pull a finish on a new tried craft!!!

Have fun with your crocheting there Peggy!

Have a great day!
