The purpose of this challenge...
Definition of a PhD
PhD stands for "project half done".
A half done project is not a finished project...
A "finished" PhD is a fully finished project!
Be it a quilt, or quilted item...
Cause it ain't finished, until it is fully finished!
UFO stands for "Unfinished Object",
which in most cases means,
at whatever stage YOU call it done...
But it is still a Project Half Done. For whatever reason, this hasn't been clear to a some from the start... But, if those of you that are counting your quilt tops as "DONE", I can only count them as UFO Finishes, not PhD Finishes...
Sorry, but I have mentioned this quite a few times now...
On a more positive note, if this challenge has got you going on UFOs that have been sitting around collecting dust, that can only be a good thing!!! So good for you ladies!!! 8-)

My 7 PhD's sat collecting dust for years before this challenge (I have more than 7, but I decided to work just on that one pile, LOL). The pile is getting smaller and I couldn't be more thrilled - imagine how much my stress level is going down with every finish! THANK YOU MYRA for giving us a much-needed boot in the behind to get cracking on these projects!
