It has been fairly quiet on the PhD Challenge Blog!
How come so? There are over 70 quilters invited to post on this blog, yet it is very quiet...? It can mean one of four things...
1.) Everyone is very busy trying to get a/another PhD done.
2.) You are busy with your family life just now.
3,) Participants have forgotten about their challenge commitments...
4.) Or, you've changed your mind about participating... If so, could you please let me know so that I can make the changes?

I've been hand-quilting my "Give Thanks" quilt, for a good stretch of time, at least once a week... I look forward to seeing this one complete and hanging in my dining-room by the end of June, if not before... 8-)
And I received great news last week!!! My friend Barb (quilt shop owner) informed me that the machine "part" they've been waiting for, since before Christmas, has finally come in, and the quilt machine is now up and running again!!!
Woohoo!!!
So, I've booked an appointment to quilt this PhDs next week Friday!!!
Doing the happy dance here!!! I'll have my first finish real soon then!!!
I'm thinking I should have made 2-3 more appointments right away too, as I have 4 PhD quilt tops that need quilting ... I will have to get on the phone and make it happen!!!
Sorry I haven't been out and about blogland to visit all of you...
I've been kind of under the weather, and /or busy around here...
Have a great weekend everyone!
Myra
Lets see some updates here ladies... 8-)

Looks like you are making progress and have a potential finish in th near future.
I'm working on my PhDs, but it's just slow going. I've posted updates on my blog. My finishes will likely be in May and June (if I get any).
Thanks for checking on all of us.
Myra, I'm still here and still progressing. My goal is one per month and I'll have a post very soon.
Option #1 for me - I'm almost finished PhD #3 - hopefully I can post it before the beginning of March *fingers crossed* :)
Cant wait to see your featured quilt done Myra.
I'm wrangling my snowball PhD as we speak. I cant tell you how glad I will be to get this one finished. Hoping for an end of March completion on that one and then I'll be down to one! What a wonderful thought .
oh still working on those PhDs. I just did the easy ones first quick progress, and have the harder ones for last. Still going to be a while but they are ALL going to be done by June!! I do love seeing all the beautiful things that people have finished though, very inspiring.
#1 for me as well!
The finish line is so close... running out of hand quilting thread in teal. Reduced to scrounging some over long ends I threw away. My Orphan Block Quilt will need trimmed edges and binding by end of today.
(I found Give Thanks book for $6 last week!! scooped it up. :)
I absolutely have not changed my mind or forgotten (lol). I love this challenge. It is great motivation. I'm working towards at least one Ph.D finish by the end of March. As a matter of fact, I've upped my number from 3 to 4, so you can change me in the sidebar if you want to.
Your quilts are both lovely (what I can see of them). You go girl!
