Thanks for taking part in my PhD Challenge!!!

First, I must say that I was blown away last December by the interest in joining me to get those PhDs off our back burners, and make efforts in getting them done!!!
It made it much more fun for me
having you join in! 8-)

Now, here we are, just hours away from the end of the PhD Challenge...

 * Some of our gals have met their commitments well ahead of time...
* Some met their commitments in good time...
* Some may yet by midnight tonight...?
* Some of us got half way through our commitments...
* Some will continue to plod along on our PhDs beyond today...
...and others... well...?

Great intentions and wonderful efforts have been made here in the last 6 months! We all know that sometimes "life" just gets in the way of our best laid plans...  But you know what!?! We are ahead of what we would have been, had we not challenged ourselves. I know my PhDs would still be sitting there in bags and boxes collecting dust!!

As of 11pm last night, we had 136 PhDs completed! That is pretty darn good, considering that these completions were done by
a little over two thirds of us participating!!!

My hope is that you all will continue to post/visit the PhD Group Blog
beyond this weekend, as I'm sure many of us would love too see
those remaining PhDs once they are completed!
Maybe we can have them "all" done by the end of 2011! 8-)

Since I am a night owl I will do the final tally at midnight tonight,
and will announce a "PhD Participant Giveaway" on Monday...
Correction - Tuesday!

I thank you all for taking part in my PhD Challenge!

For those of you that followed our progress, I hope you've
been able to get some of your own PhDs/UFOs/WIPs done
during this first half of 2011 too!! 8-)

Happy stitchings!! 8-)

Thanks for all your hard work! I don't know when I would have finished these quilts without your challenge!!

Thaks for hosting and coordinating Myra. I realise this must have been so much work for you.

I enjoyed doing the challenge because it really whipped my butt into shape and encouraged me to finish my Phds!

Thankyou so much Myra for taking on this challenge and whipping us into gear. (Look forward to 2012 Challenge?)
I WILL continue to work on my remaining PhD's and post here when complete ... I'm pleased you're leaving the blog open.

Hi Myra, I had high hopes and big plans to get quilts done,
but I only did one, a toddler size pink polka dot quilt for my granddaughters 1st bday.

I have truly enjoyed reading how everyone else has done, the pictures are so fun to look at.

I can't wait to see what the final finishes tally is when the bewitching hour strikes tonight - I see lots more posts came in tonight with last minute finishes, so that 136 number is going to CLIMB, woooooohooooooooo!!

I have my other two pinned and ready to quilt, but after my surgery Monday, I realized I was going to my BFF this week, not next. So I threw the PhD's back in the pile, and busted out her Coca-Cola quilt made the entire back, which ended up being the front instead, and then quilted my first big quilt on my lil ol machine, bound washed it and threw it in the washer at 3am. I gave her the quilt when she got home from work today, and she was absolutely over the moon! I am glad I started and finished this one more than any of the PhD's. But now that I have quilted a big quilt, I know I can do it. So when I get back next week, the PhD's will all be next in line, and will all hopefully be finished by the end of 2011. Especially since that was my New Year's resolution. Thanks for the challenge, I will look forward to the next one you come up with. I will have pics updated on my blog next week, and maybe here too. 16muddyfeet.blogspot.com

Thanks for hosting this Myra! Even though I didn't get anything completed by the deadline, the project I did work on got a whole lot further along than it would have if I hadn't had the deadline hanging over my head. Better layered waiting to be quilted than just a PIG (Project in a Grocery Sack) I say!

I'm glad the site will still be open to post to until the end of the year. Hopefully that's a deadline I CAN make and I can add add to both your tally and mine!
