It's the last day of June and the last day of the PhD Challenge. Back in December, 6 months seemed like such a long time away. Plenty of time to finish 3 quilts. Well it was, I just didn't get there. One quilt did get finished, the 2008 BOM. Significant progress was made on the other two. The 2006 Buck-A-Block BOM started out at 6 blocks.
At the end of last weekend, it was only short the final border of being a completed top.
The 2005 Purple and Yellow Scrap Quilt started with almost 3 rows done.
As of last weekend this leader and ender project had 8 of the 9 planned rows completed.
Not finishes, but still very close to being completed tops. Both of these will get done before the end of the summer. So even though I can't celebrate these as finishes, I'm very happy to have made so much progress on these two.
Thank you Myra for so graciously hosting the challenge. It did help me stay focused on getting a few of my PhDs moving towards completion . Congratulations to those of you who finished your all your challenge quilts, your time management skills are awesome! Thanks for all the eye candy, this is one very creative group.

Kate congratulations on your lovely finish (I have to admit that I'm quite partial to pink, hehe) and the progress on your other two projects - I love the yellow and purple quilt! Best of luck getting them done by the end of the summer!
I love the purple/yellow quilt. I do hope this site stays open so you will show it when it is finished.
I think you've done a great job Kate. You're so close to finishes for both these projects and they look lovely!
