I have some squares cut and mostly a big pile of denims just begging to be cut and sewed up. My son's room has two single beds for which I am wanting to make the same quilt style for each. And, if I have any left over pieces, I plan to use them to make a doll's bed quilt for my granddaughter.
Since I was a child, I loved the look of denim quilts, very rustic looking. So, all in all, I hope to complete three quilts, but in reality, if I get one done I will be very pleased.

Shari Ive made heaps of these and they're really quick to come together and if you fudge the seams a little it's no biggie because you're going to clip them anyway. Go for it ! You'll have so much fun, I promise.
Looking forward to your finish.
these are really good to start with, i made one in flannel for my daughters queen size bed, it came out great, ive also seen denim quilts with the pockets on and different labels, it makes it interesting, good choice!
....and they're so warm! go for it!
go for it! you have several seasoned/tenured quilters here so any questions, ask away!!
I am getting ready to do this to make slip covers for the sofas since the 4 big ol dogs took the sofas over, and they won't leave the sheets on them.
Good luck with your denim quilts. Hopefully life won't get in the way and you'll finish all three!
This is a great project for you!!! It is EASY!!!!! And the only thing that I think you need to invest in - spring loaded scissors! Go get them - as fast as you can!!! I didn't know about them when I made my denim quilt and believe me, you don't need the sore hands!!!
these projects are fun and very quick to do - you will have fun and will be surprised at how fast you got the three done!!!
Thank you ladies for all your lovely comments and encouragement! Sharing our projects together like this is such a blessing.
Happy sewing everyone...and a happy and blessed new year to each of you and your families.
