Making Progress

So all of my tops are done! Wa Hoo! Now just to get them quilted. Which should be easier for me than most but you know how it goes...the cobbler's kids have no shoes and all of that. However, my kids have school and my husband is working today so I may actually get some stuff done. I plan to quilt this one today:

I also finished the top for the 'Meet me in Paris' quilt. And as it turns out, I really don't like it. I bought this as a kit so I was stuck with the color choices that were provided. There is not enough contrast for me. And this was TONS of work to put together, it's a shame to spend so much time piecing something that you can't even see. Oh well, maybe once I quilt it I will like it. If not, maybe I will try to sell this one.

And last but not least...the silk wall hanging. Silk is a PAIN! My studio is a mess from working with it and I keep finding dark brown strands in the ODDEST places! I went ahead and made 2 of these just to see which I like better. One will go to the Indian restaurant and the other one will be a gift for my neighbor. I made a quilt for one neighbor (Lisa) and this will be for her roommate Kate.

I think I will add another border to the top one and I don't know yet which one is going where. The color is really weird in this picture, the colors aren't quite this wacked out, I swear.

You are making great progress! Good for you!!
The Meet me in Paris quilt is quite subtle, but isn't that the way with bedding in France? I like it! It has a calming feel to it... 8-)

Beautiful work! I especially love the silk ones. Talk about fancy. Love the colors (even if the colors are weird in the photo).

Wow, you should be proud to have accomplished so much. Meet me in Paris is soft and maybe you could add contrast with thread when you quilt it? Can't wait to see what you do.
