It’s done. My second PhD finish . And boy am I happy this monkey is off my back. This little beauty and I never saw eye to eye from day 1 . Lesson learned - Pastels and I are not friends.
This was my oldest PhD –and I had visions of my great grandchildren sorting through piles of my sewing stuff in 40 years asking "I wonder why Bella never finished this quilt? "
Named by Becky, sewn , quilted and bound by moi, I present to you "When Pastels Turn Sad".
Now onto the next one! (This finish feels sooooooooo good )

oh that is lovely!! I love pastel quilts although I rarely have pastel material. Definitely a keeper!!
I like the pastels .. and I really love the backing! Great job on completing one more!
Congratulations on your second PhD finish!!♥
I like the pictures but when I thought about the way the cream looked with the pastel when we Skyped, it just seemed like a cloud drifted in front of the sun making normally happy pastels, sad. THat's all I can say in my defense of the name. ;p
Aside from that, I think it is lovely in its own way and have to say, don't completely give up on pastels. Just think about paring them with something more boldly contrasting next time. (And I believe there will be a next time.)
Congrats on finish #2!
YAY congratulations, Shay!! I'm not too fond of pastels either, but pinwheels are so much fun!
I think it is great, I too am not on good terms with pastels colors, not in my stash or my closet! I AM starting to see that I need them sometimes though! Looks good!
It's wonderful Shay!!! I'm not one for Pastels much, but it does have its place in this quilt! Love it! 8-)
Good for you on your second finish!!!
NEXT!
What a lovely job you did on this quilt, even though it wasn't your favorite! I love it. Yay you for finishing.

It turned out beautifully! That name kills me, it's both perfect and hilarious!
