I love it when I get an unexpected night off work. I was able to work on the doll quilt last evening and finish the quilting and binding.
I had left the white blocks open to do some free motion quilted flowers. I'm still learning this FMQ thing, and my practice daisies left a lot to be desired. Nevertheless, I forged ahead.
So happy to get my first PhD Challenge project done!
More details on my blog, The Way I Sew It. Have a great day, all!

Congratulations on finishing. I like the combination of white background and the tiny print fabrics.

I, too, am new to the FMQ world. I have been told practice, practice, practice. It is hard to ppp as that seems a waste of time when there are sew many PhDs, UFOs etc to be done!

Free time AND a finish, it doesn't get better than that! This is a cute one, I'm loving the 30's prints. Is it a gift or a keeper?
Thanks, all, for your kind words! I appreciate the encouragement on the FMQ. Vivian, to answer your question, I have no one in mind to give it to yet, so at the moment it's a keeper!
