I'm excited to take part in this PhD challenge. What a great way to be motivated to finish projects! Looking at the postings of so many creative quilters is inspiring.
My first project is two small quilts intended as table toppers or wall hangings for my daughters. I paper-pieced them in 2007 and started quilting the pink one. I need to finish the quilting on one and then mark, sandwich and pin the other. Both will be hand quilted. I'm counting them as one project since I work on them together.
My second project is a baby quilt made with Pooh fabrics in soft pastels. I pieced it this fall and want to get it finished. I'll machine quilt it to make it more durable. It will be for a future grandchild.
The third project was purchased on a quilt shop hop in 2006. Each of the blocks come from a different Oklahoma quilt shop. I bought the finishing kit as well but will make some changes in it. I loved the blocks because they are made from Depression era reproduction fabrics. These fabrics have always been special to me because I grew up loving my grandma's quilts and many of hers were made in the 20s, 30s and 40s of feedsacks. All the blocks are finished with the exception of the four center basket blocks. So this quilt will take a lot more time to assemble and quilt.
It's going to be great to watch the posts as projects are completed. Thanks so much for the opportunity to be a part of the fun!!!

Pretty projects you're working on! I really like the fabrics in the last one, they are so pretty and feminine.
Love all your projects! Funny, but I have ones just like you're making, on my to-do list. I also love those repro prints because of my grandmother's quilts. I'm really looking forward to seeing your progress. Good luck!
